Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Max Streaming Date Announced for Final DCEU Movie

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will begin streaming on Max later this month.

Max has announced that Warner Bros. Pictures’ Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be available to watch on the streaming platform starting on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

The movie is directed by James Wan and stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.

What is Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom about?

“Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all,” the synopsis reads. “This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”

A sequel to 2018’s Aquaman, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’s screenplay comes from David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story by Wan, Momoa, Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, and Johnson-McGoldrick. Peter Safran, Wan, and Rob Cowan produced the movie.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom marks the final entry in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), which began in 2013 with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Safran and James Gunn are now rebooting the franchise with a new DCU, which kicks off later this year with an animated Creature Commandos series.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom arrives on Max on February 27, 2024.
