Loki actor Tom Hiddleston recently refused to give a straight answer when asked about a possible appearance in the upcoming Marvel Studios movie Deadpool & Wolverine.
With the first trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine featuring the Time Variance Authority — which debuted in the Loki Disney+ series — many Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have wondered if Hiddleston might make an appearance in the hotly-anticipated sequel as the God of Stories.
The actor recently addressed the question on MCU fans’ minds at ComfestCon Kuwait (via Twitter), stating, “I don’t know, and if I did… I might not be allowed to tell you.” He added, “I truly don’t know … Marvel are correctly protective of their information so that when you go to the movie for the first time, the surprises jump out of the screen. I’ve seen the trailer, it looks good.”
Who is in Deadpool 3?
Ryan Reynolds returns as the titular Merc with a Mouth for the fourth time in Deadpool & Wolverine after X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Deadpool (2016), and Deadpool 2 (2018). He will appear onscreen alongside Hugh Jackman‘s Logan/Wolverine, marking the first time the two mutants have shared the screen since X-Men Origins.
Other Deadpool cast members confirmed for the latest sequel include Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapičić, Shioli Kutsuna, Lewis Tan, and Rob Delaney. Aaron Stanford will also appear as the mutant Pyro, reprising the role from the original X-Men film trilogy, while Jennifer Garner returns as the assassin Elektra nearly 20 years after she last played the Marvel character in the ill-fated Daredevil spinoff film, Elektra (2005).
New additions to the franchise include Emma Corrin as the lead villain and Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA agent. The film was written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells from a previous draft by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin.
Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2025, as part of Phase 5 of the MCU.
