Ryan Reynolds is beloved by comic readers for his performances as Deadpool. However, Reynolds is an entrepreneur as well as an actor who slides his fingers into many pies. One of those pies is Aviation American Gin, which is releasing their first ever collectible bottles under Reynolds’ direction. Unsurprisingly, these bottles tie in to the upcoming release of Deadpool & Wolverine.
Designed by Maximum Effort and Sandstrom Partners, the bottles are made of black glass and accented with red custom strip stamps and metallic details. Beyond the Deadpool-appropriate coloration, each bottle label also features one of six distinctive Deadpool icons. These bottles are sure to be sought after, even by Deadpool & Wolverine fans who do not drink. For those who do partake, however, the bottles are filled with the crisp, smooth gin that Aviation American Gin is famous for.

Why AAG Got a Deadpool & Wolverine Tie-In
There is some irony in Deadpool & Wolverine being used to promote a line of gin. In the comics, Wolverine is more partial to beer or whiskey when he’s looking for a drink. However, Aviation American Gin does have an emotional tie to the Deadpool franchise.
“I discovered Aviation American Gin while shooting the first Deadpool movie,” explained Reynolds. He was so impressed with their product that he bought a stake in the company in 2018. Since then, Reynolds has also been a spokesman for AAG and placed their bottles in his movies as Easter eggs. However, the release of Deadpool & Wolverine gave Reynolds a rare chance to merchandise both brands simultaneously.
“Back then Aviation wasn’t big enough to tie-in to a big summer movie and Deadpool was lucky to get any sponsors at all,” Reynolds recalled. “A few hundred weeks and drinks later, here we are! They grow up so quickly, don’t they?”
The limited edition Deadpool & Wolverine Aviation American Gin bottles will arrive in stores this summer in time for the film’s release. Fans can also reserve the bottles through the Aviation American Gin website.
