Kotaku reports that game retailer GameStop has sent out a new shipment of Batman banners to their stores which might be advertisements for a Batman: Arkham City follow-up. Pictured below, the new banners are said to be going up in stores the week of March 3, around the time that “Arkham Asylum” and “Arkham City” developer Rocksteady have reportedly marked as the window to announce their next project. Unconfirmed by Rocksteady, Warner Bros., and GameStop at this time, check back here for future updates on the matter as we learn more.
Rocksteady took the gaming world by storm in 2009 with the first in the franchise, Batman: Arkham Asylum, which saw its sequel, Batman: Arkham City, hit stores just two years later. The latest entry, Batman: Arkham Origins, developed instead by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, served as a prequel to the series instead of exploring the story threads left open at the end of “Arkham City.”
