Latino Review brings word that writers Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer have been brought aboard Marvel’s Ant-Man for some fine tuning of the script, originally written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish and then re-written by previous directorial candidate Adam McKay. The site reports that the pair aren’t necessarily providing an overhaul on the script but will provide any necessary rewrites the film should need during its production, which is set to begin next month in Atlanta, Georgia.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Also starring Evangeline Lilly, David Dastmalchian, Patrick Wilson and Corey Stoll, Ant-Man will be directed by Peyton Reed and is scheduled for release on July 17, 2015.
