Halle Berry Wants to Make a Storm Solo Film

Halle Berry confirms to multiple sources her desire to make a Storm movie

During the “Extant” panel at Comic-Con International on Thursday, X-Men veteran Halle Berry told attendees that she would be on board with a Storm-centric spin-off movie in the Marvel Universe, reiterating a comment she made in a recent interview with Deadline.

“Of course,” said Berry. “I love that character. It is one of my favorite characters that I’ve ever player. Fans have to tell Fox that is what they want. It starts here!”

The Academy Award winner has appeared as Storm (Ororo Munroe), a powerful, weather-bending mutant, in four “X-Men” movies to date, most recently in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

“In a heartbeat I would do a Storm movie,” she told Deadline yesterday. “I love that character through and through. So if that ever became an opportunity for me if it’s before I’m 65-years old I would absolutely do that. I think they should do it. If the fans want that the fans need to speak up and I’m sure it would be a possibility. If Fox felt like they could make money off of a Storm movie I’m sure they would do it.”

Berry will next appear in the high-tension drama Kidnap, which is set to open October 9. The current second season of sci-fi series “Extant” airs Wednesdays on CBS.
