First Photos from the Four-Part CW Superhero Crossover!

Ever since The CW became home to four different DC Comics super hero shows, the plan for a giant crossover was certainly in the works, and we’re very nearly there. The first photos form the four-part CW superhero crossover of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow have debuted online (via EW) and you can check them out in the gallery below!

The event will feature the likes of Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Melissa Benoist as Kara/Supergirl, Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, plus Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Steel, Maisie Richardson- Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, and the return of Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance! Each of the four episodes will be titled “Invasion!” and will feature the aliens The Dominators as the central antagonist.

“This year, for our mega ‘Arrowverse’ crossover, we’re taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as Invasion!, which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Super-Heroes,” Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim previously said. “We’re using cutting edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.”

A sinister, technologically advanced alien race, The Dominators view Earth’s tendency to generate super-powered people as a sign that humans may essentially evolve to be genetically superior. That in mind, they decide to wipe them out.

The four-part CW superhero crossover will air this December with the Arrow episode being the 100th episode of the series and star Stephen Amell has been teasing the arrival of the other heroes (and a surprise villain) for the episode, which you can see below.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 PM on The CW followed by The Flash on Tuesdays, Arrow on Wednesdays, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Thursdays.
