Game of Thrones Actor Brendan Cowell Joins Avatar Sequels

After the deadly plots of Westeros, Brendan Cowell is ready to take on the mortal perils of Pandora. According to a report from Deadline, the Game of Thrones actor will appear in James Cameron’s upcoming Avatar sequels. Cowell will play Mick Scoresby, the captain of a private sector large-scale marine hunting vessel on the planet of Pandora. He’ll start shooting his scenes in the sequels this May in New Zealand.

He joins a cast that includes sees the return of Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, and Sigourney Weaver. Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis and Oona Chaplin are among the newcomers to the films.

Plot details for Avatar sequels remain under wraps, yet James Cameron announced his plans of making one epic saga formed by another four parts. The first Avatar film is the highest-grossing film worldwide with over $2.7 billion in box office grosses.
