Explore Thra in New The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Featurette
Ten days now separate the fans from the official release of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Until then, Netflix has put a couple of new featurettes online, allowing us to discover a little more about the enchanted world of Thra and the work behind it. The first one features stars Natalie Dormer, Taron Egerton, Jason Isaacs, Simon Pegg, and executive producer Lisa Henson.
“Dark Crystal does mean a lot to so many people,” Henson said. “It is a rare film that has an entirely original fantasy world. That’s one of the reasons why we wanted to go back there. The series is a prequel. It starts in the time when the Gelfling had a rich and prosperous civilization.”

Netflix’s intention was to enrich the universe of 1982’s The Dark Crystal, and according to star Taron Egerton, they made it.
“What fans of The Dark Crystal want is an odyssey, they want a saga, they want something to enrich the universe of the original film,” Egerton said. “That’s what the series does. You can put them side by side and see that it’s the same world. But there is just so much more to explore.”
