Lana Wachowski is continuing to add cast members to The Matrix 4 who previously headlined the Wachowskis’ Netflix series, Sense8. Deadline reports that Erendira Ibarra has signed on for the sequel. She previously played Daniela Velazquez in Sense8; which ran for two seasons. Ibarra also appeared in the Netflix series, Ingobernable, and the Amazon Prime series, El Candidato.
Two other Sense8 veterans are also in the film. Max Riemert signed on earlier this month; and Toby Onwumere jumped on board back in December.
Back in August, the fourth chapter in The Matrix series was confirmed by Warner Bros., with Wachowski serving as co-writer and director. Several Matrix veterans will also make a return, including Keanu Reeves as Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity. Jada Pinkett Smith will also return as Niobe. Additionally, new faces to the cast include Neil Patrick Harris, Yahya Abdul-Matten II, Jonathan Groff and Jessica Henwick.
