Earlier this month, Lucasfilm announced that Star Wars: The Bad Batch will succeed Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Disney+. The new animated series will follow Clone Force 99, a squad comprised of unique clones named Hunter, Crosshair, Tech, Wrecker, and Echo. Via Heroic Hollywood, veteran voice actor Sam Witwer seemingly confirmed he will be part of the series. During a Twitch stream, Witwer revealed that he’s seen the early episodes and he had good things to say about them.
“I will tell you it looks really, really good. It looks absolutely beautiful,” said Witwer. “The story… at least I know where the story begins in the first several episodes and I am very pleased because it’s a little area of Star Wars that has not been often visited.”

Witwer has a lot of experience in the Star Wars universe, and he’s previously voiced Darth Maul and Emperor Palpatine, among others. However, Witwer didn’t indicate whether he would reprise those roles on the new show.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch will premiere on Disney+ in 2021.
