Maul Seeks Vengeance in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Audiobook

Fans shouldn’t be too sad about the end of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series. A new anthology written by 11 different authors about the is going to hit the stores right before the end of the month. The new Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark book will collect 11 stories from the recently-completed animated series, including one original Nightsisters-based story besides ten retellings of memorable episodes.

The book is also coming in its audiobook version. StarWars.com has debuted a brief excerpt from “Dark Vengeance” by Rebecca Roanhorse, with an older Maul who is recounting his tale of survival and quest for revenge against Obi-Wan Kenobi. Of course, Sam Witwer is dubbing the former Sith Lord once again.

The news of the anthology should be a good one for Star Wars book fans, given that Lucasfilm has recently postponed the Star Wars: The High Republic books to 2021. The official synopsis of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark reads:

“From Anakin to Yoda, Count Dooku to Darth Maul, this exciting middle grade anthology will recount different explosive events from The Clone Wars from the points of view everyone’s favorite characters–with each character written by a different popular author.”

The Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark authors are Lou Anders, Preeti Chhibber, Zoraida Córdova, Jason Fry, Rebecca Roanhorse, Greg Van Eekhout, Tom Angleberger, E. Anne Convery, Sarah Beth Durst, as well as Yoon Ha Lee, and Anne Ursu.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark is debuting on coming Aug. 25.
