The Mandalorian Season 3 Will Start Shooting in April

Good news for The Mandalorian fans, who will be happy to know that Season 3 will start shooting later this year. According to Production List, the third installment in the latest Star Wars saga will enter production on April 5. The show is currently enjoying popularity with both hardcore and new fans, rekindling interest in the franchise after the more divisive sequel trilogy. The latest season put many irons in the fire with the return of Boba Fett and the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano, among  other extraordinary things.

Season 2 ended with Mando and his team confronting Moff Gideon to save Baby Yoda following the Force-sensitive’s kidnapping. The titular hero defeated Gideon in single combat and earned the Darksaber. But a platoon of dark stormtroopers attempted at the lives of the good guys, who survived only thanks to Luke Skywalker’s prompt intervention to save the day. Ultimately, Mando gave The Child his permission to train with Luke and learn to master the Force.

Actor Giancarlo Esposito teased that fans will have to wait for Season 3 to fully know the how and why of Moff Gideon. At the moment, there is no official release date for The Mandalorian Season 3. However, it most likely won’t arrive before 2022 and the official debut of The Book of Boba Fett series.
