In this world, Doctor Stephen Strange never lost his surgical abilities in a car accident. However, his fate was even more tragic. In this world, Strange loved Dr. Christine Palmer, and she was killed in the accident. Regardless, Strange couldn’t move past his grief, even after learning the mystic arts. And Strange’s victory over Dormamu was bittersweet without Christine.
No matter how many times Strange used the Eye of Agamotto to relive Christine’s final hours, he couldn’t save her. An echo of the Ancient One appeared and warned Strange that Christine’s death couldn’t be changed. When Strange refused to listen, the Ancient One attacked him and he escaped into the past.

As Strange studied at the Lost Library of Cagliostro, he heard the Watcher’s voice. However, Strange disregarded the warnings and absorbed several mystical beings over the centuries. Back in the present, a duplicate Strange created by the Ancient One saw that reality was unraveling because of his counterpart.
The two versions of Strange fought in the present, but the darker variant emerged victorious. Strange absorbed his other self, and reunited with Christine. Unfortunately, even Christine wasn’t immune to the destruction of reality. In the last moments of this universe, Strange appealed to the Watcher for his aid. But the Watcher refused to interfere, and Strange was left as the only survivor of his broken timeline.
