Stephen Amell Teases a Secret Cast Member for Arrowverse Elseworlds Crossover

Arrow star Stephen Amell had some fun on his Twitter account today. Via Comic Book Resources. Amell showed all of the cast members’ chairs on the Arrow set including a mysterious one. Every chair but one is labelled with an established cast member: Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), David Ramsey (Diggle), Amell (Green Arrow), Carlos Valdes (Cisco/Vibe), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin/Killer Frost), Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) and Grant Gustin (Flash). However, there is a chair between Benoist and Gustin’s chairs without a name. When this chair is shown, Amell says, “secret.”

It is possible that this secret cast member will be a previously unannounced surprise character. More likely is that it will be one of four known performers who will appear at some point during the crossover.

Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his role as Supergirl’s cousin Clark Kent/Superman. During this crossover the Man of Steel’s long standing love, Lois Lane, will be introduced to the Arrowverse. Lois will be played by Elizabeth Tulloch, best known for playing Eve on the NBC show Grimm.

Ruby Rose is portraying Batwoman for the crossover, and possibly headlining her own Arrowverse show next year. Rose is best known for her award winning portrayal of Stella Carlin on Orange is the New Black. Amell’s wife, Cassandra Jean Amell, will also appear during Elseworlds as Nora Fries. Fries is the wife of classic Batman villain, Mr. Freeze. Victor Fries has yet to be cast, and may not actually appear during the event. Saving him for a season long villain or future crossover would make a lot of sense.

The Elseworlds crossover will begin on December 9, with The Flash, and Arrow will feature the second installment on December 10. The event will conclude on December 11 with Supergirl.
