Game of Thrones Star Jerome Flynn Joins Amazon’s Dark Tower Series

While HBO’s Game of Thrones will end next month, Jerome Flynn has already lined up his next role. The actor behind the fan favorite character, Bronn, has been cast in Amazon Prime’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower.

Flynn confirmed his next project during an interview with The Mirror. He acknowledged that GoT opened up a new career path for him before adding that “I’ve always said I’d like to play a cowboy – and now one has come along. I’m excited for that.”

Birth.Movies.Death speculates that Flynn may play Coffin Hunters, Steven Deschain, or Jonas, the leader of the Big Coffin Hunters. However, Amazon has not released any details about his character.

The Dark Tower will not be a continuation of the 2017 movie reboot. Instead, it will be a fresh start for the franchise and focus on Roland Deschain (a.k.a. the Gunslinger) as a young man. Sam Strike has been cast as Roland, while Jasper Pääkkönen will play the Man in Black/Randall Flagg.

Former Walking Dead showrunner, Glen Mazzara, will over see The Dark Tower for Amazon. The series doesn’t currently have a release date, but the casting news suggests that it may begin filming in the near future.
