When Disney+ launches later this year, it’s going to have a wealth of Marvel content. While Marvel Studios is producing Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and WandaVision, Marvel has greater ambitions for the streaming service. Back in April, the company revealed plans for two unscripted Disney+ series: Marvel’s Hero Project and Marvel’s 616. Now, there’s a third unscripted show on the way.
Via Marvel.com, former Marvel editor-in-chief (and current CCO) Joe Quesada will host Marvel’s Storytellers on Disney+. Over the course of 12 episodes, Quesada will explore “the origin stories and creative drives of storytellers of all mediums, backgrounds, and experiences.” Quesada will also speak with his guests about their relationship with Marvel and “how they overcame a personal or professional hurdle.”
“A comparison that everyone knows is Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” said Quesada via Wired.”We go on locations, but instead of food or culture being the focus, the focus is a guest, the way they tell stories, and their story.”

Quesada also added that The real thrill to me is to find out, ‘What’s your story?’ People tell their stories in all different ways. It’s not just writing, drawing, or filming. Athletes tell stories in how they perform. Dancers tell stories with their bodies.”
For the first season, Marvel’s Storytellers has lined up former Wolverine star, Hugh Jackman. Other guests also include Olympic skater Johnny Weir, high-altitude mountaineer Ed Viesturs, Broadway songwriter Robert Lopez, and Teen Vogue executive editor Samhita Mukhopadhyay. Each episode will be between ten to fifteen minutes long.
