Back in January, a few Marvel must have done a double-take when word broke that Owen Wilson was cast in Disney+’s Loki series. Wilson was probably one of the last actors anyone expected to join the MCU, but he definitely has a role in the upcoming small-screen vehicle for Tom Hiddleston’s beloved God of Mischief. And in case there’s still any doubt, new set photos of Wilson and Hiddleston have just surfaced. You can check them out via Twitter below.

These latest images show Hiddleston, Wilson, and other actors playing armed guards filming a scene in the rain. It’s hard to make out, but all of their outfits seem to feature patches embroidered with the same logo. If recent rumors turn out to be true, this could be the logo for the Time Variance Authority. In Marvel’s comic universe, this organization was tasked with monitoring the multiverse and preventing alterations to the past or future. Its members were inspired by Marvel editor Mark Gruenwald, who made a name for himself as the company’s “continuity expert.”

Loki will follow the title character as he travels through time, so an appearance by the TVA makes sense. However, these new pics make it look as though he’s working with them as opposed to running from them. This stands in contrast to what fans saw in the recent Super Bowl spot for Disney+’s upcoming Marvel slate. In that commercial, Loki was seen wearing a prison uniform embossed with the TVA logo.
Loki’s six-episode first season will hit Disney+ in early 2021.
