Earlier this year, Stephen Amell walked away from Oliver Queen as Arrow closed out its eighth and final season. And it sounds like he has no intention of looking back. To kill some time during his own self-quarantine, Amell (via Entertainment Weekly) hosted a Q&A with fans today via an Instagram livestream. Not surprisingly, he was asked whether he’d consider making a guest appearance on another Arrowverse show in the future, and his reply left little to the imagination.
“No, I’m done,” said Amell. “That was good. It was a good eight years, but it was time to be done.”
Amell’s Green Arrow went out in a blaze of glory during the penultimate installment of The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Although dead characters showing up in flashbacks isn’t exactly without precedent in the Arrowverse, Amell seems ready to move onto the next chapter in his professional career. However, he admitted that he still occasionally tunes into The CW, but the experience is a strange one.
“It was actually really, really weird to watch The CW again,” continued Amell. “It was weird seeing promos for Supergirl and Flash and Batwoman again [and] it seems like a different lifetime. I don’t think I’ll be doing that again.”

Amell also gave fans an update on what’s next for him. His first big post-Arrow project is Heels, a wrestling drama that will run on STARZ. But because of the Coronavirus pandemic, production was recently forced to shut down.
“I was getting ready to shoot my new show Heels and that’s been put on hold indefinitely,” added Amell. “That’s frustrating because I was getting excited. We’ve got an amazing cast. It’s going to be awesome. But for the moment my training has stopped.”
Arrow’s final season will hit Blu-ray and DVD on April 28. The collection will also include all five episodes of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
