Rosario Dawson Won’t Confirm or Deny Her Role In The Mandalorian

Late last month, a report emerged that The Mandalorian‘s second season will introduce Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, the fan favorite Jedi Padawan from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, Disney+ has yet to confirm that news. During a new interview with Variety, Dawson seemed to be reluctant to confirm the news. But she also didn’t deny it, while thanking the fans for potentially making it happen.

“That’s not confirmed yet, but when that happens, I will be very happy,” said Dawson. “I’m very excited for that to be confirmed at some point,” she said, adding it would be “a million and one percent because of the fans.”

Dawson has previously campaigned for the role and spoken about her desire to play Ahsoka on social media. Ahsoka was voiced by Ashley Eckstein in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. If Ashoka does factor into The Mandalorian‘s new season, it will be her first appearance in live-action.

Additionally, Dawson shared her desire to join the Star Trek franchise as well, if she can play a Vulcan, a Romulan, or even Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

““I mean it would be great ‘cause then I could jump on Discovery,” related Dawson. “I could be on Picard [and] I just want to be with Jean-Luc Picard.”

The Mandalorian’s second season will premiere on Disney+ in October.
