Disney+ Reveals Mark Hamill’s Vocal Cameo on The Mandalorian

It turns out that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker wasn’t Mark Hamill’s only appearance in the franchise last year. Via The Wrap, the final episode of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian revealed that Hamill also made a vocal cameo in the fifth episode of The Mandalorian season 1.

In the episode, Hamill voiced a droid named EV-9D9, who previously appeared in Jabba the Hutt’s court in Return of the Jedi. But in The Mandalorian, EV-9D9 was working as a bartender when Din Djarin inquired about bounty hunting work. EV-9D9 told Din that there weren’t many opportunities on Tatooine since the Bounty Hunter’s Guild abandoned the planet.

In addition to reprising his role as Luke Skywalker in The Rise of Skywalker, Hamill also voiced Boolio in the film. Additionally, Hamill provided Darth Bane’s voice in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Outside of the Star Wars franchise, Hamill is best known for voicing the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. Hamill has also reprised his role as Joker in several animated series, video games, and direct-to-video animated films.

Hamill is often in demand as a voice actor. But perhaps he will continue to revisit the Star Wars universe when other opportunities like this arise.
