Next year, Robert Kirkman’s Invincible comic book series is being adapted as an animated show for Amazon Prime. However, the wait for footage is over. During New York Comic Con’s Metaverse panel, Kirkman unveiled the first teaser trailer for Invincible.
The trailer introduces fans to Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), a teenager who is far from ordinary. Mark’s father is Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), the greatest and most powerful superhero on Earth. Now that Mark has come into his own powers, he’ll have to live up to Omni-Man’s legacy. But first, Mark needs to become his own kind of hero. Unfortunately for Mark, his father’s secrets will also come back to haunt him.
Simmons’ Omni-Man narrates most of the trailer, as Mark has some early struggles with his new abilities. There’s also a glimpse of the show’s gorier moments, which come straight from the comics. Invincible never shied away from depicting graphic violence, and that’s not going to change for the show.

Here’s the official description from Amazon Prime:
“Invincible is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems. From Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead.”
The eight-episode first season of Invincible will premiere in 2021 on Amazon Prime.
