A few weeks ago, Paul Bettany dropped a few hints about a mystery actor coming to WandaVision. The vast majority of fans also assumed that Evan Peters’ Quicksilver was the big surprise. However, Bettany’s new interview with Esquire’s Explain This indicates that the actor in question hasn’t been revealed.
Bettany prefaced his response by noting that fans believe that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr. Strange will make an appearance. But he seemed to downplay that possibility.
“There is one character that has not been revealed,” said Bettany. “And it is very exciting. It is an actor that I’ve longed to work with all of my life and we have some amazing scenes together and the chemistry between us is, I think, extraordinary and it is just fireworks on set. I’m really excited for people to see that stuff.”

Earlier this month, Bettany also dropped similar hints while speaking with Barstool Sports.
“I work with this actor that I have always wanted to work with, and we have fireworks together,” related Bettany. “The scenes are great, and I think people will be really excited. I’ve always wanted to work with this guy…and the scenes are pretty intense.”
Additionally, Elizabeth Olsen shared her excitement for an upcoming cameo. However, she didn’t share any additional clues. But with only three episodes remaining, fans will find out who it is soon enough.
WandaVision‘s first six episodes are on Disney+. The seventh episode will debut on Friday, February 19.
