Casting on Disney+’s Secret Invasion series is moving full steam ahead. According to Deadline, Marvel is now courting Killian Scott for a role in the upcoming Disney+ show.
Scott recently headlined the BBC series Dublin Murders, which aired on Starz in the U.S. Some of his other TV credits include USA’s Damnation, C.B. Strike, and Ripper Street. On the big screen, Scott has had roles in The Commuter and the British thriller ‘71. Earlier this year, he also joined the cast of 61st Street, a new courtroom drama in development at AMC.
The new series will take cues from Marvel’s 2008 comic book storyline of the same name, which revealed that Skrulls had been impersonating several heroes for years as part of their plan to conquer Earth. However, Captain Marvel established that the MCU’s Skrulls are a peaceful race, so the creators are probably making a few changes to the source material. Marvel began hiring actors for the series last month, but the studio has yet to announce a showrunner for the project.

If the negotiations go well, Scott will join a cast that will also feature Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke making their MCU debuts. None of their roles have been revealed, although Ben-Adir is reportedly starring as the series’ villain. Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will also reprise their roles as Nick Fury and Talos, respectively.
Disney+ hasn’t shared a premiere date for Secret Invasion. Regardless, it’s likely to air in late 2022 or in early 2023.
