HBO Max Sets an August Premiere Date For Titans Season 3

It’s been a little less than two years since Titans season 2 came to an end. Luckily, the show’s return is a lot closer than we expected. Filming on season 3 isn’t finished just yet, but the cast has announced that it will finally hit HBO Max in August.

The official Titans Instagram account recently posted a video where several actors from the series confirmed the new season’s summer premiere. Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Alan Ritchson, and Teagan Croft appeared to hype up the new episodes. But more importantly, they tossed around buzzwords like “dark,” “heart-breaking,” “action-packed,” and “bananas” to tease what’s coming. Unfortunately, they didn’t provide a specific release date for season 3, which will mark the show’s debut as an HBO Max original after airing its first two seasons on DC Universe.

Tians season 3 will pick up where season 2 left off, with the heroes continuing their fight against Kory’s sister, Blackfire. However, the team will also face several new threats along the way. That includes their former ally, Jason Todd, who has abandoned his Robin persona and rechristened himself as Red Hood. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow is also coming to the show this season, as played by Vincent Kartheiser. Fortunately, the team will pick up some new allies of their own, including Barbara Gordon (Savannah Welch) and Tim Drake (Jay Lycurgo).
