The dystopian world of Blade Runner has always been thrilling to watch thanks to its unique vision of the future. And the franchise’s upcoming anime spinoff also includes plenty of glamor shots of the noir-inspired backdrops that fans have come to love. Ahead of the show’s debut this fall, Adult Swim and Crunchyroll have released the opening sequence for Blade Runner: Black Lotus. Check it out for yourself below.
Additionally, the opening features the series’ theme song, “Feel You Now,” performed by Grammy winner Alessia Cara. As her moody track thrums in the background, viewers are sent careening through L.A.’s futuristic urban canyons. We also see a mysterious figure strolling down an alleyway (presumably a blade runner in pursuit of a replicant). And of course, the sequences closes on an establishing shot of Elle, a replicant and the series’ protagonist.

Black Lotus takes place in 2032, as a replicant named Elle is on the run from L.A.P.D. officers as she tries to piece together her past and discover the true reason behind her creation. Along the way, she will encounter the Wallace Corporation, which played a major role in Blade Runner 2049. Former Iron Fist star Jessica Henwick voices Elle in the English dub. The voice cast also includes Brian Cox, Stephen Root, Samira Wiley, Wes Bentley, Josh Duhamel, and Peyton List.
The series’ opening sequence was revealed during Virtual Crunchyroll Expo. During the presentation, series directors Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama also shared some new key art for the series, which you can view below.
Blade Runner: Black Lotus premieres on Adult Swim and Crunchyroll sometime in November.
