Earlier this year, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Part 1 received a very divisive response from old school He-Man fans. Regardless, Netflix and Mattel Studios have a second He-Man series planned for next month. This new show also appears to be a more radical reinterpretation of the source material. However, we suspect that the traditional fanbase may not be pleased by the changes. That said, it appears that He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was made with a much younger audience in mind.
Netflix has debuted the first trailer for the new Masters of the Universe reboot, as well as a cast list for the series. Yuri Lowenthal will provide the voice of He-Man/Adam, and he will also portray a pre-Two-Bad version of Tuvar. Additionally, Kimberly Brooks will voice Teela, Eldress, and the Sorceress, with Judy Alice Lee as Krass, a gender bent version of Ram Man called Ram Ma’am.
Ben Diskin will also star in the series Skeletor/Prince Keldor, with Grey Griffin as Evelyn/Evil-Lyn, David Kaye as Cringer/Battle Cat, Antony Del Rio as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Trevor Devall as R’Qazz/Beast Man, Roger Craig Smith as Kronis/Trap-Jaw and General Dolos, Fred Tatasciore as King Randor and Baddrah, and Tom Kenny as Ork-0.

It’s up to He-Man and his brave squad of rookie heroes to stop Skeletor and restore the peace.
Both sides come armed with enchanted Power Weapons – transforming them into Masters of the Primal Powers of the Universe. It’s Master vs. Dark Master, He-Man vs. Skeletor – fighting for control of Eternia, Castle Grayskull, and the fate of us all. In the end, who will become MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE?”
