Netflix’s Wednesday Series Adds 10 New Series Regulars

With most of the Addams clan in place, Netflix is fleshing out the supporting cast for its upcoming Wednesday series. Netflix has announced 10 new names who will be joining Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzmán, and Catherine Zeta-Jones on the show.

Wednesday centers on the title character as she navigates college life at Nevermore Academy, so a lot of these new additions will be playing some of her fellow students. These include Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, an “awkward and shy” student who is “anxious about looking anyone in the eye” because he’s a Gorgon. There’s also the quirky Eugene Otinge (Moosa Mostafa), the president of the school’s bee-keeping club; Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), Wednesday’s “sunny and colorful” roommate who “comes from a pack of San Francisco Werewolves”; and cool kid Yoko Tanaka (Naomi J. Ogawa), a vampire with a penchant for “Harajuku-inspired Goth flair.”

Other students include Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday), a persuasive, popular Siren; and Xavier Thorpe (Percy Hynes White), Wednesday’s “supernaturally artistic” classmate who also happens to be the son of a celebrity psychic. Additionally, a few members of Nevermore’s faculty have been cast. Thora Birch (top left) is playing Tamara Novak, Wednesday’s botany-loving dorm mother and the school’s only “Normie” on the staff.

Finally, viewers will also be introduced to several locals living in the surrounding town of Jericho. Jamie McShane portrays Sheriff Donovan Galpin, a man who harbors a mysterious vendetta against Wednesday’s father, Gomez. Regardless, Wednesday will strike up a friendship with the Sheriff’s son, Tyler (Hunter Doohan, top right), who has a troubled relationship with his father. Lastly, Riki Lindhome (top middle) will show up as Wednesday’s therapist, Dr. Valerie Kinbott, who “takes a particular interest” in her latest patient.

Ortega is headlining the series as Wednesday, with Guzmán and Zeta-Jones co-starring as her parents, Gomez and Morticia. Surprisingly, the producers have yet to cast Wednesday’s brother, Pugsley. Tim Burton is directing and executive producing the series with fellow EPs Al Gough and Miles Millar acting as showrunners.

Netflix still hasn’t set a premiere date for Wednesday.
