The heroes of Doom Manor are back, and it looks like they’re making some new friends along the way. HBO Max has just released a brand new trailer for Doom Patrol’s third season, which finds the superpowered misfits embarking on an adventure through time that brings them face to face with some very peculiar-looking villains.
By the time season 3 begins, the superpowered misfits are still tying up loose ends from their last adventure. The last time we caught up with the heroes, Dorothy was on her way to confront the Candlemaker. But before they have time to lick their wounds from this encounter, Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) shows up in a time machine and drafts the characters into her fight against the mysterious Brotherhood of Evil.

The new season will also feature a cavalcade of additional threats, including the Sisterhood of Dada. And of course, the team’s members will continue to deal with their own personal baggage as well. But as April Bowlby’s Rita Farr points out, they always manage to rise to the occasion whenever a little ass-kicking is in order.

Doom Patrol season 3 will premiere its first three episodes on HBO Max on September 23. All remaining episodes will debut every Thursday through November 11.
