Young Justice: Phantoms Episodes 1 & 2 – What Did You Think?!

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for the first two episodes of Young Justice: Phantoms!

One of the biggest surprises to come out of DC FanDome was the reveal that Young Justice‘s fourth season has already arrived. Every season after the first has had a subtitle and a largely self-contained story. This season, the show is called Young Justice: Phantoms. However, it remains to be seen who the “Phantoms” are.

The first two episodes of Young Justice: Phantoms have hit HBO Max, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it! This post is a place for all of you to leave your own reviews, thoughts, or anything else you want to say about Young Justice: Phantoms episodes 1 & 2.

In the aftermath of Young Justice: Outsiders, Conner/Superboy and Miss Martian/M’gann renew their commitment to each other. One year later, Conner and M’gann go to Mars to be married. Martian Manhunter and Gar Logan/Beast Boy also accompany them. Unfortunately, they receive a very cold reception on Mars.

There’s a race war on the horizon for the various Martians. And while some of the younger generation idolize Earth’s heroes, the wave of xenophobia alarms Conner and M’gann. Regardless, they attempt to make the best of it. Additionally, Saturn Girl, Phantom Girl, and Chameleon from the Legion of Super-Heroes observe the situation on Mars and keep their presence hidden.

Ma’alefa’ak, M’gann’s estranged brother, made an inopportune return before a Zeta Beam test seemingly killed Martian Manhunter. The good news is that Martian Manhunter survived the trip to Earth. Conner, M’gann, and Gar were also roped into investigating the murder of the Martian king. Someone is manipulating the situation, and they nearly exposed the Legion’s presence. M’gann almost sensed Saturn Girl’s mind, and now the future heroes have to keep their distance.

Additionally, Ma’alefa’ak received a genetic bomb from Desaad. And Ma’alefa’ak doesn’t care if it kills M’gann, as long as the other Martian races die.
