Moiraine Gets Ready in a New Teaser For The Wheel of Time

After years of anticipation, Amazon’s The Wheel of Time series is officially less than a month away, which means Moiraine Damodred is about to embark on her treacherous journey to save the world. Ahead of the show’s premiere, the streaming service has debuted a new teaser that sets up Moiraine’s mission. You can check it out for yourself below.

The clip shows Rosamund Pike’s character suiting up in a dimly-lit room. As she girds herself for what lies ahead, she recounts a time in her history when those with power attempted to “cage darkness itself.” Their scheming nearly destroyed the world, but luckily, the Aes Sedai were able to piece everything back together. However, there’s still one person who can undo all their efforts, and he (or she) is known only as Dragon. The original “man who brought the breaking of the world” has just come of age in a new physical form. And though their identity is a mystery, Moiraine and her fellow travelers will stop at nothing to find them.

Aside from Pike, the teaser also features Daniel Henney as al’Lan Mandragoran, who appears near the end of the clip. Along with several other companions, the pair will travel to a variety of key locations from Robert Jordan’s original novels. Luckily, their journey is guaranteed to last more than a year, as Amazon has already renewed the series for a second season.

The first three episodes of The Wheel of Time will hit Amazon Prime Video on November 19.
