It’s not easy being a bounty hunter (or “Cowboy”) in the year 2071. No matter what planet you’re on, there are new threats at every turn, so the occasional moment of rest and relaxation is hard to come by. Luckily, Spike Spiegel and Jet Black seem to have made time for a dinner break in a new clip from Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop series. But it all comes crashing down when Faye Valentine bursts onto the scene.
The clip finds Spike (John Cho) and Jet (Mustafa Shakir) kicking back over a bowl full of cheesy bread. And after a misunderstanding over the function of a bidet, Faye (Daniella Pineda) makes her entrance. Nursing a gunshot wound, she tells the Cowboys about her latest ordeal involving a trio of “eco-dicks” and a weaponized gas that turned several unsuspecting opera fans into trees. Needless to say, Spike and Jet aren’t totally convinced. But when a perfectly-timed news broadcast backs up Faye’s claims, they start to pay attention.
“You guys are so lucky that I ran into you.”

Unfortunately for Faye, the masked terrorists also hijacked her ship. But she has a solution: if Spike and Jet help her track them down, she’s willing to cut them in on the villains’ bounty. However, it sounds like she plans on keeping most of the profits.
Cowboy Bebop premieres on Netflix tomorrow, November 19.
