The Boys will back in a big way this year. Not only is season 3 of the flagship series finally arriving in June, there are also two spinoffs currently in the works, one of which will proudly display the show’s penchant for gory violence in animated form. Now, Amazon Prime has given us a new glimpse at what this is going to look like. As part of its Fanimation Week announcements, Amazon has released another teaser for The Boys: Diabolical. Check it out for yourself below.
Amazon announced Diabolical last month and confirmed that it will be an anthology series, with each episode showcasing different cases of supe savagery. In the latest clip, dubbed “Laser Baby,” the titular infant appears to have escaped from a Vought laboratory, as evidenced by the scientist following the trail of blood left in her wake. Unfortunately, an army of Vought soldiers finds her first. But before they can fire a single bullet, the baby uses her laser eyes to eviscerate them one by one. It’s not clear if this is supposed to be the same baby we saw in The Boys season 1. Regardless, not even Billy Butcher himself would object to seeing Vought get a taste of its own medicine.

This clip appears to spoof Disney’s Roger Rabbit shorts from the late ’80s and early ‘90s. Amazon also recruited a host of top comedic talent to bring the series to life. The writing staff notably includes The Boys executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Other episodes will be penned by Aisha Tyler, Awkwafina, Andy Samberg, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Simon Racioppa and Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland. Garth Ennis, co-creator of The Boys comic book series, will write an episode as well.
The Boys: Diabolical will premiere on Amazon Prime on March 4.
