The Book of Boba Fett is over, but the next chapter in the Star Wars saga now has a premiere date. Disney+ and Lucasfilm have announced that the Obi-Wan Kenobi original series will premiere on May 25. That date also happens to be the 45th anniversary of the original Star Wars movie, which was the first appearance of Obi-Wan.
To mark the occasion, Disney+ has released the first poster for the series, which features a distant glimpse of Ewan McGregor’s Jedi Master. McGregor previously portrayed Obi-Wan in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. And he will also be reunited on this series with Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

Details about the series are still relatively scarce. Regardless, we do know that it takes place ten years after Revenge of the Sith. And events may force Obi-Wan to temporarily emerge from his exile on Tatooine, which would once again make him a target for the Empire and his former apprentice.
Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie will also star in the series.
