Out of all of the Marvel Studios live-action shows on Disney+, Loki is the only one to get a second season. And while we won’t be getting new episodes this year, Owen Wilson has confirmed that Loki season 2 will be starting production soon during a new interview with The Wrap.
“Yes, [I am] coming back to Loki,” said Wilson. “And I think we’re gonna start filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that.”
During the first season, Wilson portrayed Mobius M. Mobius, a member of the Time Variance Authority who recruited Loki (Hiddleston) to work for them. Additionally, Mobius formed a friendship with Loki and turned against the TVA when he learned he was a variant. However, Mobius’ history with Loki was apparently changed. In the closing moments of the season finale, Loki reunited with Mobius, but Mobius had no idea who he was.

So far, only Hiddleston, Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw have confirmed that they will return to the series. Presumably Sophia Di Martino will also be back as the female Loki variant, Sylvie.
If Loki‘s new season is filming this year, then a season 2 premiere on Disney+ will likely take place in 2023.
