As the Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gear up for their big-screen returns, Paramount+ is rolling out new content for fans of both franchises. During today’s ViacomCBS Investor Event (via Deadline), the streaming service announced that a new Transformers animated series is currently in development. The studio is also working on a new series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies for the platform.
Transformers: Earthspark marks the first new animated Transformers series since Netflix’s War for Cybertron trilogy wrapped up last year. The show comes from Nickelodeon Animation and Hasbro’s Entertainment One. According to the longline, Earthspark will introduce a “new species of Transformers who must find their place and purpose among Autobots, Decepticons, and the human family who adopts them.”
Earthspark isn’t the only animated Transformers project on the horizon. Director Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) is still developing his own animated feature starring the robots in disguise. That movie will hit theaters on July 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films will spin off from Nickelodeon’s upcoming animated movie starring the heroes in a half-shell, which counts Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg as executive producers. Each of Paramount+’s films will present “never-before-told tales” starring a different member of the turtles’ rogues gallery. The first of these installments will bow in 2023. Rogen and Goldberg’s movie, which is directed by Jeff Rowe, hits theaters on August 4 of that year.
