Disney+ Releases Another New Ms. Marvel Poster

Muslims all over the world are currently marking the end of dawn-to-sunset fasting for Ramadan. Now, Marvel is celebrating the occasion by rolling out the red carpet for its very first Muslim superhero. With just over a month to go until Ms. Marvel hits Disney+, the studio has released a brand new poster for the series in honor of today’s Eid-al-Fitr celebrations.

The poster features artwork from Shehzil Maiik, whose illustrations also appeared in a previous Ms. Marvel poster that originally made its way online last month. Similarly, this new image underscores Marvel’s commitment to honoring Kamala Khan’s Pakistani heritage and her family’s religion. That’s why it highlights several examples of Islamic symbolism, including the crescent moon and star. You can check out for yourself below.

Marvel previously acknowledged Eid-al-Fitr’s arrival over the weekend by releasing a new skin for Kamala in Marvel’s Avengers. The character’s latest costume features a cosmic twist as well as a revamped color scheme. And unlike many of the game’s other unlockables, this one was released free of any additional charge.

Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 8.
