As Ms. Marvel’s premiere date draws closer, Marvel Studios continues to pull back the curtain on its next live-action Disney+ series. Now, with less than three weeks remaining until audiences meet Kamala Khan, a new TV spot for the show has come online. And it has plenty of new footage of Kamala using her superpowers. In the comics, Kamala was an Inhuman whose powers were awakened via Terrigenesis. But the TV show is making several changes to her backstory. Instead of developing polymorphic stretching abilities, Kamala’s powers will be more cosmic in nature. The spot also confirms that the source of these powers is a mysterious bracelet that’s been in her family for generations.

Iman Vellani will headline the series as Kamala in her acting debut. The cast also includes Matt Lintz as Kamala’s best friend, Bruno Carrelli, and Zenobia Shroff and Mohan Kapur as her parents, Muneeba and Yusuf, all of whom will provide some much-needed moral support as Kamala navigates her new role as the MCU’s newest hero.
Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8.
