Ms. Marvel Episode 6 – What Did You Think?!

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Ms. Marvel episode 6!

There wasn’t a lot of superhero action in Ms. Marvel, but there was plenty of Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. And she’s delightful. Also, everyone thought that WandaVision was going to be the program that paved the way for mutants. However, this is the show that cued up the X-Men: The Animated Series theme, if you kept an ear out for it. Regardless, the season finale has premiered, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it! This post is a place for all of you to leave your own reviews, thoughts, or anything else you want to say about Ms. Marvel episode 6.

After returning from Pakistan with her mother, Muneeba, Kamala prepares to tell the rest of her family about her powers. But Kamala soon realizes that her mother beat her to it. Elsewhere, an injured Kamran and Bruno barely stay one step ahead of Damage Control agents. They temporarily hide in the local mosque, which is soon overrun by agents. Before Kamala can go to their aid, Muneeba gives her a new costume to wear.

Kamala, Nakia, Bruno, and Kamran make it to their high school, only to discover that Kamala’s brother, Aamir, and her frenemy, Zoe, are already there. And they both want to help. Outside, Damage Control Agent Deever has the school surrounded. Over the phone, Agent Cleary tells her to stand down. But she disregards the order, and also orders her men inside.

Bruno, Aamir, and Nakia create distraction for the agents while Zoe uses her social media followers to mobilize the local community. Kamala’s parents and Sheikh Abdullah are among those who answer the call. As they flee, Kamran insists that Kamala tell him what happened to his mother in Pakistan. Upon learning that she is dead, Kamran lashes out at the agents with his newfound powers. This forces Kamala to battle her crush to keep him from killing the agents.

Outside, both Kamran and Kamala find themselves overwhelmed by Deever’s firepower. However, Kamala uses her powers in new ways which allow her to regain the advantage. She also gets Kamran to agree to flee the country with aid from the Red Daggers. As Kamran gets away, Zoe, Bruno, Aamir, and Nakia also manage to elude their captors. The community rallies around Kamala, and prevents Damage Control from arresting her. Shortly thereafter, Cleary angrily removes Deever from active duty.

In a private moment, Kamala’s father, Yusuf, tells her why they choose her name and explains why it means Marvel. He also calls Kamala his perfect Ms. Marvel, which finally gives her a codename. One week later, Kamran introduces himself to Kareem in Pakistan, while Kamala and Nakia share one last joyride with Bruno ahead of his transfer to Caltech. Before he leaves, Bruno tells Kamala that he had it wrong before. The reason why she has powers and her family doesn’t is because of a genetic mutation. That’s right, Kamala Khan is a mutant in the MCU, not a member of the Inhumans as she is the comics.

Finally, the mid-credits scene finds Kamala’s bangle accidentally swapping places with Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. Carol is completely taken aback, especially by all of the Captain Marvel merchandise on Kamala’s walls. But we’ll have to wait for The Marvels to see how it all plays out.
