Who is Jeff the Land Shark?
Created by Thompson and Daniele Di Nicuolo, Jeff the Land Shark made his Marvel Comics debut in 2019’s West Coast Avengers #7. Jeff was initially adopted and named by Gwen Poole during one of the West Coast Avengers’ missions in Santa Monica. Gwen later gave Jeff to Deadpool after she was worried that she wouldn’t get another solo series anytime in the near future.
Since then, Jeff the Land Shark has frequently appeared elsewhere in the world of Marvel Comics, to the point where he even became venomized during 2023’s Summer of Symbioses event. His dialogue-less Infinity Comic series launched in September 2021.
