Dotemu Releases Gameplay Teaser For TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge

Last month, Dotemu and Nickelodeon unveiled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, an upcoming game inspired by Konami’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade games from the ’80s and ’90s. At the time, Dotemu simply revealed that Shredder’s Revenge was coming to consoles and PC. However, Nintendo has now confirmed it will hit the Switch later this year.

Nintendo made the announcement during today’s Indie World showcase. Dotemu also took the opportunity to drop a new gameplay trailer for its highly anticipated release.

It’s not a port of either of the previous TMNT arcade games, but the gameplay appears to be similar. The art style is largely inspired by the original TMNT animated series from 1987. Additionally, one of the stages appears to be in the Channel 6 building. That’s where April O’Neil works, but she’s nowhere to be seen in this video. Instead, it looks like the Foot Clan has taken over.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will hit the Switch and other consoles later this year.
