Sony Announces Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 For PS5

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales have already given Playstation 5 owners a next-gen Spidey fix. However, those were just the appetizers for a true sequel to Spider-Man PS4. At today’s Playstation 5 event, Sony officially announced the sequel: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. And it looks like this time, players can also choose between Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Additionally, the reveal trailer is narrated by Kraven the Hunter, one of the few Spidey villains who wasn’t in the first game. Regardless, the teaser’s closing seconds suggest that Peter and Miles have a much bigger problem than Kraven.

The previous Spider-Man games have hinted that Harry Osborn is the host of the Venom symbiote in this world. If so, that gives Peter and Venom a more personal connection in the game.

Insomniac Games is developing the sequel in conjunction with Marvel Games. Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter will once again reprise their roles as Peter and Miles, respectively. Horror legend Tony Todd will voice Venom. It’s not clear who is voicing Kraven in the game yet.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will hit Playstation 5 in 2023.
