Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Story Trailer Gives Task Force X a New Mission

The DC Universe’s premiere superhero team has gone off the rails, and the only ones who can stop them are the worst of the worst. Earlier today, Rocksteady returned to DC FanDome to reveal a brand new story trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. You can check it out for yourself below.

Last year’s announcement trailer memorably introduced fans to Rocksteady’s take on Task Force X: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. But this time, we actually get to see how they all band together for their upcoming mission.

The villains have Amanda Waller to thank for rounding them up and aiming them at their latest targets. After Brainiac arrives in Metropolis and turns the city into a wasteland, the team will square off against a variety of extraterrestrial threats. Unfortunately, that’s not all: they will also have to bring down the members of the Justice League, all of whom have been corrupted by Brainiac’s technology.

The new trailer features brainwashed versions of Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. We also get to see the Batmobile peeling around the city’s corners. But since the game takes place in the same universe as Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham trilogy, which ended with Bruce Wayne appearing to kill himself in an explosion at Wayne Manor, it’s still not clear who’s driving the car. In any case, the Suicide Squad is going to have to use every available strategy to bring the heroes down.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022.
