It’s official: Task Force X will have to wait a little longer to go under your control. A Bloomberg report last month gave us the heads-up that the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game would likely bump to next year. Today, game director and Rocksteady cofounder Sefton Hill confirmed it via Twitter.
We’ve made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience. pic.twitter.com/VOSwTM6Zak

Industry-wide, pandemic-related delays look like the most probable culprit here. Or we could just blame Starro.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League takes place in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham games. This time, however, the setting moves to Superman’s home turf, Metropolis. Only Superman and his JL pals aren’t what they used to be. Controlled by Brainiac, the heroes now present an imminent threat to humanity. And only the ragtag team of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark can take them out.
What do you make of the delay? Expected? Necessary? Let us know in comments.
