Unreleased Daredevil Video Game Prototype, Footage Surface Online

Nearly 20 years after it was scrapped, footage and a prototype of the video game Daredevil: The Man Without Fear has made its way online.

A 17-minute video was published by Hidden Palace (via Eurogamer), showing off the title’s combat and gameplay alongside the title screen, menus, and the game’s opening story narration. The skipping narration provides a bit of the hero‘s story from the perspective of Matt Murdock himself, who mentions characters like Foggy Nelson, Kingpin, and Elektra.

Throughout the video, Daredevil uses what appears to be some sort of “echolocation” ability at certain times and battles multiple thugs with bits of platforming throughout Hell’s Kitchen. It’s noted to be quite buggy and features quite a few repeating audio clips, as you can see for yourself in the footage.

You can check out the footage of the game, which was uploaded by Hidden Palace, below:

Who was developing Daredevil: The Man Without Fear?

Daredevil: The Man Without Fear was being developed by 5,000 Ft. studios and was meant to be a third-person beat-em-up that would have been released on PlayStation 2, the original Xbox, and PC.

In a bit of comedic timing, there’s recently been speculation about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 including some form of Daredevil content in the future after a certain Easter egg was found in the game.
