Superhero Hype’s Best Amazon Deals For July 10, 2019
It’s been a big week for Marvel thanks to Spider-Man: Far From Home’s record-setting opening. So it makes sense that so many books tangentially related to Spidey’s romp through Europe are available at a premium. Premium discount that is. These Amazon deals are no illusion, so let’s swing around this week’s collection. Here are Superhero Hype’s best Amazon deals for July 10, 2019.
John Constantine, Hellblazer, Vol. 1: Original Sins
Before we get to the webslinger, let’s talk about John Constantine. The cynical magic-wielder popped back into the headlines this week with the announcement of a new Hellblazer series under Neil Gaiman’s Sandman Universe imprint. It’s always fun to see Constantine’s hellish tales, but Amazon has something to whet your appetite ahead of his return. Original Sins packs the first nine issues of the long-running series and Amazon has it marked down 75% on Kindle and 26% in paperback.
Secret Wars (2105)
Onto the main event Marvel lineup. Spider-Man: Far From Home’s initial trailers had fans speculating about the introduction of the multiverse thanks to the beguiling Mysterio. With the Infinity Saga out of the way, many thought the multiverse’s existence pointed to the celebrated 2015 Secret Wars event as the MCU’s next logical step. That might not have come to fruition, but that shouldn’t stop anyone from reading this modern epic. Amazon is making that easier by slashing its price in half on Kindle and 33% in hardcover.
Captain Marvel Vol. 1: Rise of Alpha Flight
The actual events of Far From Home took things in a different direction (very Mysterio-esque), but it still delivered some juicy morsels to munch on as we wait for phase 4 to start. One of those is the potential inclusion of Alpha Patrol. The team wasn’t always positioned as S.H.I.E.L.D.’s intergalactic frontline, but the Canadian heroes took that spot once Captain Marvel took the helm. The team’s inclusion in the MCU is still speculative, but getting your hands on the first volume of this adventure is far more tangible. Especially at a 44% discount on Kindle and nearly 25% off in paperback.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: The Art of the Movie
The live-action film isn’t the only Spider-Man film getting some love this week. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse recently hit Netflix, meaning anyone who hasn’t seen it now has very little excuse for not doing so. It’s hard to imagine a day where the film’s animation won’t be celebrated. Fortunately, this official art book lets fans marvel over it as much as they want. The hardcover edition of the book is currently available at a 44% discount.

And, finally, we couldn’t forget the web-slinger’s co-creator, and national treasure, Stan Lee. Lee may be gone, but comic fans will never let him be forgotten. The man did so much in his life and career, and this memoir chronicles that momentous life in Lee’s own words. This graphic novel is a must-have for any fan, especially as we continue to celebrate the man’s contributions to the industry and our collective imagination.
