Marvel Comics has opened up about what readers can expect from all five of its Free Comic Book Day 2024 titles.
At next year’s Free Comic Book Day, Marvel leads the pack with two Gold Sponsor titles and three Silver Sponsor titles. Diamond Comic Distributors previously revealed the cover art and synopses for both Gold Sponsor books, plus the cover art for all three Silver Sponsor ones. Marvel itself has now shared the covers and synopses for all five of its FCBD 2024 comics, as well as the creative teams for all but one of them.
FCBD 2024 sets the stage for Marvel’s future
The House of Ideas’ first Gold Sponsor book is Free Comic Book Day 2024: Spider-Man & The Ultimate Universe #1 by Zeb Wells, Deniz Camp, Ryan Stegman, and Juan Frigeri. The one-shot promises to set the stage for the next chapter of Amazing Spider-Man, as well as what’s in store for the rebooted Ultimate Universe.
The second Gold title is Free Comic Book Day 2024: Blood Hunt/X-Men #1 by Jed MacKay, Gail Simone, Sara Pichelli, and David Marquez. As its title implies, the book heralds the upcoming Blood Hunt crossover event, as well as offers a glimpse at what’s to come in the X-Men‘s post-Krakoa era.
Marvel’s very first FCBD-edition Star Wars comic headlines its Silver Sponsor lineup. Free Comic Book Day 2024: Star Wars/Darth Vader #1 hails from Charles Soule, Greg Pak, Ibraim Roberson, Ramon Rosanas. Then, Nikesh Shukla and Tadam Gyadu lead the creative team for Free Comic Book Day 2024: Marvel’s Voices #1, which continues to celebrate the diversity of the Marvel multiverse. Finally, Marvel returns to the world of its hit Disney Junior animated series in Free Comic Book Day 2024: Spidey & His Amazing Friends #1.
