Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto‘s Ultimate Spider-Man #1 is heading back to the printers — and R.B. Silva’s second printing variant cover highlights Peter Parker‘s drastically different life on Earth-6160.
When Ultimate Spider-Man #1 opens, Peter Parker is a 35-year-old man who has not yet become Spider-Man. He is married to Mary Jane Watson and the pair have two kids, Richard and May. In a surprise twist, Peter’s Uncle Ben is alive and well in this reality — and works as the managing editor of the Daily Bugle. Peter’s Aunt May, however, perished in the deadly attack on New York that the Maker framed Tony Stark for.
The second printing variant highlights this bold new direction for the Spider-Man mythos. Silva’s cover features Peter, his family, and a number of other characters — including the mysterious new Green Goblin. The second printing of Ultimate Spider-Man #1 hits comic shops on Wednesday, February 21 — the very same day as issue #2.

What’s to come in Ultimate Spider-Man
In addition to the second printing announcement for issue #1, Marvel shared Checchetto’s covers for Ultimate Spider-Man #2 and #3, plus the artist’s newly-revealed cover art for issue #4. The issue #4 cover, in particular, spotlights Ben Parker’s continued exploits in journalism following his departure from the Bugle.
