Trying to figure out which Superman 2025 popcorn bucket to buy? Well, fortunately multiple theaters — AMC, Regal, Alamo Drafthouse & AMC — have rolled out pictures for their special popcorn buckets for the upcoming Superman movie by James Gunn. Many Marvel fans will likely want to compare each limited-edition bucket and decide which one looks the best, though there’s nothing wrong with grabbing all of them. A few of the prices and release dates for these collectibles have been announced. Here’s a breakdown of all the official Superman popcorn buckets for the 2025 film so far.
What are the new popcorn buckets for the Superman movie?
By our count, there are at least nine Superman 2025 popcorn buckets spread across AMC, Regal, Alamo Drafthouse, and AMC. You can take a look at the premium offerings below and see which ones are your favorite.
AMC Theatres Superman popcorn bucket
The AMC Theatres popcorn bucket is shaped liked a bright red newspaper box for The Daily Planet, where of course Clark Kent is a noted reporter. Interestingly, it looks like the bucket will need to be placed on its back, since the window lid opens on the side. Since the image above has the popcorn bucket standing next to the Superman Grippr cup, which has a red cape attachment and stands around 8.5 inches, the box looks to be about 9 to 10 inches tall. And it’s big enough for a large popcorn.
This Daily Planet-themed popcorn bucket will be available starting July 10, just a day before the movie’s official nationwide release of July 11. No price for the bucket has been released so far, but most AMC collectible buckets are between $30 and $50 (with a clear exception of the $80 Galactus LED popcorn bucket for The Fantastic Four: The First Steps).
Cinemark Theatres Superman popcorn buckets
Cinemark Theatres will feature five different Superman popcorn buckets, with the highlights being the premium Krypto popcorn bucket and the smaller dog-bowl popcorn bucket (which is honestly perfect for a pup).
The chain announced the collectibles, along with some soda cups and plushies, on a post on X. There you can see a full rotation of the premium bucket, both sides of the dog bowl, and three standard popcorn buckets, two of which have David Corenswet as Superman on the side while the third has comic book graphics instead.
Most of the Cinemark popcorn buckets are priced at around $40 to $50 for the premium offerings, though the Krypto one looks so detailed that it could be more. The dog bowl and the standard buckets should not cost as much, estimated around $20 to $30. It’s still unclear when these collectibles will be available for sale or pre-order.
Regal Theaters Superman popcorn buckets
As for Regal Theatres, the chain will offer two Superman popcorn buckets for sale. The first is called the Heat Vision Popcorn Popper Bucket, which is shaped like a popcorn machine. That said, the only thing that’s Superman about it is the logo at the top. That said, the second bucket, humorously called Krypto’s Pupcorn Bucket, features an almost chibi-fied version of the dog hanging off the side of the blue bucket.
Both of these popcorn buckets will be available on July 11. Regal’s popcorn buckets typically range from $30 to $50. According to a graphic for the Heat Vision bucket in the UK (as found on Reddit), it is expected to cost £30, which is about $40 US.
There’s also a sweepstakes at Regal Theatres where a lucky customer can win every Superman 2025 collectible the chain has to offer, which includes the two premium popcorn buckets, a 230-oz. popcorn tin, a few cups, several plushies, a blanket, and an art print signed by James Gunn. The site also has a picture of both premium popcorn buckets sitting next to the other collectibles in case you’re curious about how large they are by comparison.
Alamo Drafthouse Superman popcorn bucket
The Alamo Drafthouse popcorn bucket for Superman 2025 is more straightforward. It’s a limited-edition 130-oz. bucket (hand-wash only) that costs $25 and is shaped like the superhero’s iconic suit. It’s unclear what material the bucket is made out of, but it’s recommended that customers use warm water, mild soap, and a soft sponge, so the bucket is likely delicate.
Pre-orders for the bucket are available, with the item estimated to arrive by mid-July, but the collectible is already sold out at the time of writing. Customers can sign up to be notified, though, on when it will back in stock.
Last but not least, an image of a DC-branded LED Superman popcorn bucket, shaped like the diamond Superman emblem, has been going around as well.
