Is this what people mean when they talk about adult toys? Hot Toys‘ latest Deadpool & Wolverine figure features a realistic, silicone torso and arms, realistically sculpted to look like Hugh Jackman after his months of punishing movie workouts. Rather ironically, the collectibles company is calling this figure “Wolverine (Jacket Version).” Because yes, he comes with a jacket, but we defy anybody to say they’ll display him with it.
Studio-Mandated De-Shirting
Without spoiling anything major, this comes from a scene in the movie in which Logan loses his shirt and is handed a jacket owned by another character. It’s boringly blue and orange, while Logan’s torso is ripped, hairy, and bloody. As Deadpool’s turn-ons go, that’s a trifecta.
According to the official description, “a battle damaged head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, a realistic body design with torso and arms made of silicone material, inner metal skeleton with enhanced articulation range, the seamless neck and elbows design that create a smooth appearance, beautifully applied battle damage and distressed effects, a finely tailored jacket, weapons and accessories including katana, battle-worn Wolverine helmet, multiple interchangeable hands for his dynamic poses, and a figure base. Stay tuned as more accessory [sic] for Wolverine will be unveiled soon!”
Even having seen the scene in question, we can’t really imagine what the secret accessory will be. It won’t beat his rubbery, realistic chest, though. That’s for sure. The price for the jacket Wolverine figure is not revealed yet, but expect to pay in the neighborhood of $300. Payment plans are always available.
